Polycore Building Systems

Fully insulated. Fully structural. Concrete-free.

Faster. Easier. Better.

What is Polycore?

Polycore is a structural, insulated sectional building system that replaces traditional concrete-based assemblies in key parts of a build. In the Polycore Foundation System, structural capacity is provided by engineer-selected galvanized steel studs integrated into EPS (expanded polystyrene) sections.

Built around planned layouts and repeatable install steps, Polycore is designed to deliver a more comfortable space, help reduce heat loss, and streamline the construction process from start to finish.

Created and Manufactured in Canada for Canada.

Experience comfort

Polycore’s insulated system helps reduce the cold, clammy feeling common in basements and lower levels making the space more enjoyable year-round.

Energy savings

No concrete basement floors are insulated with EPS. Designed to support efficient, long-term performance.

Not an alternative
A solution

Steel strength combined with EPS insulation creates a durable system designed to address common heat-loss issues found in traditional materials.

Do-it-yourself friendly

Designed for straightforward assembly with no specialized tools required to install. Standard sections eliminate most cutting/trimming.

Polycore Floors

Polycore wall systems combine insulated EPS sections with integrated galvanized steel studs to create a structural, energy-smart assembly. The result is a clean, planned install with defined chases/details that make it easier to build and finish.

Easier:

Single-profile system designed for efficient installs (with or without PEX tubing)

Polycore Walls

Polycore wall systems combine insulated EPS sections with integrated galvanized steel studs to create a structural, energy-smart assembly. The result is a clean, planned install with defined chases/details that make it easier to build and finish.

Faster:

No concrete curing or drying time install without typical trade delays

Polycore Foundations

The Polycore Canada Residential Foundation System is a structural/insulated sectional system that replaces traditional concrete or ICF-type foundations in residential projects.

Foundations are supplied in 8″ thick sections (R36) and are delivered pre-cut and labeled for installation order, based on engineer-stamped drawings for your specific project.

Better:

Rigid insulation + structure designed for long-term performance and comfort

FAQ

Polycore is an advanced construction material consisting of expanded polystyrene (EPS) with injected galvanized steel studs. Once installed, it forms an envelope box structure, offering exceptional thermal-bridging capabilities.

The Polycore system often provides long-term cost savings due to its energy efficiency and durability, though. It’s advisable to compare total lifecycle costs for a complete picture.

Polycore offers excellent isolation properties, significantly enhancing energy efficiency. This means reduced energy consumption and savings on utility bills over time, providing great value daily.

Polycore construction projects are typically completed faster than those using traditional methods. The prefabricated panels simplify and expedite the installation process, reducing overall build time.

The installation process of the Polycore system is highly efficient due to its pre-made sectional structure. Delivered to job sites in panels, it offers simplicity and time savings, giving it a significant edge over traditional systems.

Simply provide us with a rough architectural drawing, and we will estimate the cost for you.

Yes, once your project goes through our engineering bureau, it will be stamped and certified, allowing you to apply for a construction permit.

The most popular options are 9.25” thick panels with an R-32 isolation value and 11.25” panels with an R-42 value. Custom thickness can be expanded to achieve up to R-60 isolation value.
